Nespresso On!

We got gifted a Nespresso Machine for our birthday!!!!
You all know that we are obsessed with coffee and this birthday gift was the best ever, so we decided to review it.

The machine we got is the CITIZ&MILK CHERRY RED COFFEE MACHINE, it has an integrated milk frother and it is an absolute dream! We assembled it in 10 mins and next we were deciding what to have.

Shop Now

Plus Point:
Super EASY to use and you can make a variety of different coffees with it.

The machine comes with pods so we had a variety of different flavours to choose from.
In addition they sent us the Nespresso Limited Edition Iced Capsules; Intenso on Ice!! *ice ice baby*
So with this machine you can either make your cuppa with a espresso (single shot) or a lungo (double shot), the coffee though is hot when its poured from the machine.
The frother is amazing, it has demarkations to tell you how much milk to pour for a latte or for a capuccino and it heats the milk or it can cool it based on your requirement. (Our team loves the cold one though, boss you the best!)
We each tried a coffee,
Hot ‘Livanto’ capuccino flavour:
This is the caramel flavour so it is a little sweet. The blend of Central and South American Arabicas is medium roast and it brings out a very balanced flavour. It isn’t too strong and has that yummy freshly brewed smell!
Intenso On Ice!
This was a bit strong for my taste but it was appreciated by the rest of the team. The Iced coffee though was very smooth and we added some frothed milk to the mix.
Coffee ice on
To keep your machine clean ensure you buy the Descaling Kit and use it after every 100 pods to clean the machine.
Other than that it easy to maintain you just need to wash the frother and the pod despenser whenever you use it.
And to store all the pods I have bought the Touch Sleeve Dispenser!
Which coffee do you prefer? Tell us in the comments below!

Tripping in Paris !

Hellooooooooo !

I went tripping to Paris with my husband and my boss thinks I should totally write about it, so here goes my first article.

Last summer, my husband and I visited “La Ville Lumiere” or “The City of Light” in May. We spent a week in Paris and a night in Bruges. Given the perfect mix of architecture, history, food, culture and fashion that Paris has to offer, spending a week there made us feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface!

So here are a few tips for anyone trying to make the most of their visit to this magnificent city!

A few key areas I would recommend visiting include Champs De Elysees, Le Marais, the Seine River, Monte Marte and Latin Quarter among others.

Areas/Places to see:

Champs de Elysees is the high-fashion street of Paris, which is filled with numerous luxury stores, cute cafes with the historic Arc De Triumphe on one end, which was built to honor Napoleon Bonaparte. Exploring this street on foot was an unforgettable experience etched in my memory.

Most luxury brands in Paris such as Louis Vuitton and Bottega Venetta are atleast twenty percent cheaper than the rest of the world, and with the VAT refund you could save some more! So if you’re feeling a little indulgent, Paris is the place to spoil yourself. On the other hand, if you are looking for some good discounts on high-end brands, make a trip to the Outlet Mall La Vallee Village; a forty minute ride from the city.

champs de elysees.jpg

A quick tip: If you want to make the most of your Paris trip, live close to a metro station given that the taxis are quite expensive.

Some interesting things to do at the Champs include

Catching a show of the Lido

Dining at my favourite Asian restaurant/lounge Koh. Incase you’re looking to grab a quick bite at a fast-food Italian joint, I would recommend Vapiano.

Le Marais is a labyrinth of cobblestone alleys; much like a West Village in Manhattan. Le Marias is flooded with hip designers, wine shops, old fashioned bread and desert shops. Le Marais is the place where you could look to buy some good paintings off the street.

If you’re looking for an amazing, wholesome breakfast which is freshly prepared, I would highly recommend Bob’s Kitchen. There avocado bagel and coffee is to die for. Looking for some great Falafel? Stop by at Las Du Falafel – they are probably better than the ones you have in Instanbul.

If you are an art lover, then definitely stop by at Musee Du Louvre. If you want to skip the long lines, book tickets online. To explore the museum in its entirety, allocate atleast five hours for your visit.

The Luxemburg Garden, River Seine Night Cruise, the Eiffel tower tour all the way to the top floor and Montemarte are other places to visit/things to do!

If you enjoy your dessert, then don’t forget to stop by at Angelina Paris for the best hot chocolate and macarons in town!

Sooooo i’m saying, I am pumped to write this article and want to know if you guys have any other recommendations for our travel?

Farmers Café Mumbai

We were on the hunt for delicious vegan food in Mumbai and came across this newly opened joint in Bandra, delicious food and loving the thought behind their skinny pizza.

They have gluten free options too as well as a variety of dishes for meat lovers, we being vegetarians tried three dishes from their menu.

We began with their Breakfast Tartines, 3 slices of toasted bread with toppings, Beetroot Hummus, Avocade, Homemade Vegan Granola, Homemade Salted Caramel, Banana, Flaxseed.

We loved the avocado toast with beetroot hummus and home made vegan granola but found the homemade salted caramel with banana too sweet for our liking.

Moving onto the main course, we were excited to hear from the owner that her concept behind the pizza is to make it exactly like a complete indian meal, which includes Roti, Sabzi, Dal & Rice.

The Skinny Pizza: Baby Spinach, Iceberg Lettuce, Kale, Broccoli, Leek, Cherry Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Basil, Farmers Special Skinny Sauce, Skim MOzzarella topped with almonds and mushrooms.

Don’t be fooled by all the veggies, it tasted delicious with the right amount of cheese and balance in flavours, hummus base for the sauce was a delight to our tastebuds. This pizza is a must try, not heavy on the stomach or your waist!

We ended the meal with a dessert that will make you lick your spoons! Seriously, it will.

Presenting: Vegan Chocoalte Almond Pudding

It had a grainy texture like Ferrero Rocher, not too sweet and  very light, full marks for ending our meal on a good note.

They have a list of drinks too that are super healthy and also a mix of Indian traditions like Grandmas old recipe of turmeric milk.

To end this experience except for the Appetizers we would give this meal a 9/10!

Try this place out, tell us in the comments if you know about more vegan food places in Mumbai we must visit.

Have vegan recipes for us to try? Tell us in the comments too !

Until next time,
